Isalind (born July 4th, 1989) is an emerging, self-taught, contemporary artist currently living and working near the Birgittine Monastery of Pax Mariae in the open scenery of Vadstena, Sweden.

Her creative works, although varying in motive and form, are easily recognized due to their theistic representationalism. Each piece carrying a subtle undercurrent of mysticism hovering just below the serene surface. Her imagery has a surreal edge, hinting at scenarios that whisper of a deeper and more serious subtext.

She is known for her use of mixed mediums - navigating through charcoal, acrylics, oil, egg tempera, colored pencil and other creative expressions - always searching to break new ground in the realm of detail, texture and color. All with the sole aim of unveiling the hidden meaning behind each piece - thus making it real and tangible for the viewer.
